Visit to Asian Civilisations Museum : Aug-11
The idea of visiting a museum has always been an unappealing one to me, probably due to the fact that I need to see, read, walk, think and try to digest and understand the long history in the shortest span of time during the visit. Many a time i will choose to visually admire the magnificent artifacts our ancestors created with a brief glance of their history.
Xuan has recently visited the Asian Civilizations Museum and has been boosting about how fascinating her visit is. Her "nagging" becomes so "bad" that I think we should go as a family outing just to 'shut' her up.
I cannot remember when is my last visit to a museum, must be a number of years i suppose... anyway, this visit strikes me with multiple surprises...
1st Surprise - $8 for the entire family! in fact, kids are free, adult is $4!
2nd Surprise - thought En'en broke an artifact! turn out that it is a jig-jaw puzzle!
3rd Surprise - TV consoles with interactive videos everywhere, no need to read!
4th Surprise - iPhone application can be installed and used to view 3D effects around the museum!
5th Surprise - Can easily spend 2 to 3 hours there, enjoying!
I can go on and on with my surprises and how my jaw keeps dropping... bottom-line is, Xuan is right, that Museum is really GOOD! What particularly impressed me on is the advancement in technology in the museum (as if they hear my complains) BUT not in price. I wonder where you could find such 'lobang' nowadays, most prices just keep going one direction, UP.
After the museum we continue to enjoy ourselves by the Singapore River bank, enjoying ice-cream and walk under the shiny sunshine. A good time spent in conclusion.
