This year special birthday gift for ling. What a nice specs.!
After four good years of studying, Qi attended her commencement ceremony on 16-Oct-2021, which officially concluded her graduation from NUS. This ceremony had been postponed several times due to the changing Convid situation, initially planned in July which required every attendees to conduct a PCR test prior to the ceremony. In this case, we can attend as long as we're vaccinated. The number of receiving students in each session were also limited to avoid overcrowding which I felt was good. I remembered during my convocation, it was quite boring to sit there for hours waiting for the long list to be completed.
As parents, we are of course very happy that Qi able to graduate successfully and moved to her next phase in life. We even made a tiktok together that day! Now, one responsibility down now, two to go.
Cannot escape the reality in life... balding more as age catches up. Let's see if I can do something to reverse or slow down this process. :-)
Pretty similar celebration for our August baby, only difference is two similar cakes for two celebrations.
Definitely our good fortune to have a close TCM friend who is so willing to help in every way to make us look good and feel better.
I did justice to our juicer and start juicing for the family again. It always taste delicious with the numerous fruits combined, i read it is also the quickest way for our body to absorb the multiple vitamins thru' the juice. #Healthyliving.
This was our biggest renovation since moving to this house since 2000. Through the home improvement program, our kind government had offered to upgrade/renovate our two toilets with generous subsidy of 90%. The program had being voted and offered in 2019 but was then delayed in 2020 due to Convid-19. We finally were able to proceed with the renovation in May-2021 which would last for 10 days per household. Tapping on the expected "mess", we also decided to the the opportunity to renovate our kitchen during the same time. It was a period of 'unrest' and disruption to our normal routine, nevertheless the outcome were very satisfying. I must also commented on the professional attitude and great customer services which the HIP contractors provided, indeed an rewarding experience.
Xuan is always a responsible, ambitious and empowered individual, she carries this characteristics to start learning driving last year, diligently booking and practising the driving lesson, paying her fees from her own pocket and managing her progress. All thing paid off earlier this month when she confidentially decided to proceed to take her driving test even before completing the entire set of lessons. She passed on her first attempt! She did us proud, no one in the family nor extended family had achieved that before! Well done!
By the way, i was there to support her like how i supported Ling when she passed her driving test, maybe i also brought some luck along to her too. :P
