Celebrating the '4 Kings' birthday : Dec-19

A grand finale to celebrate the 4 kings' birthdays to conclude 2019 well and have a great start for 2020.  So coincidental for us to have our birthday so close together, and grateful and hopefully for us to continue this tradition as long as possible. :-)

Duet with Xuan from Xmas and New Year : Dec-19

Managed to record two videos with Xuan and posted on FB to end 2019 well wishes to our friends and family.  It was great to have the family singing along with my guitar, how fortunate. :-)

Year end family vacation : Dec-19

We went Thailand for our year end family vacation this year.  It was more than 10 years since we visited Thailand, the last time was without Enen yet!  2019 was a challenging year for many of us, Enen had her PSLE, Xuan her A levels and Papa challenging with health issues since July.  Thus, it was a good way to celebrate our victories with this trip.

We went up to North Thailand, Khao Kho for about 4 days before heading back to Bangkok.  It was simple but awesome.

2019 : Thailand Holidays : May-2020

It was a trip to remember well as Papa recovered from his health after his surgery in July earlier that year.  It was a simple but yet awesome holiday.

Papa Birthday : Dec-19

This year was a victorious year for Papa.  After his cyst surgery in July, his health did not recover well after that.  He could not eat well and his weight dropped significantly by about 8 kg.  Therefore, I was grateful to see him finally recovered in Mid-Nov, improving his appetite and regain weight and health.  He was then able to enjoy our year end holidays in Thailand and also celebrate his birthday along with this awesome victory!

Christmas party at Papa place : Dec-19

This was our usual family Christmas celebration at Papa place.  Dot cooked a feast again and it was time for the kids enjoyed the Xmas presents.  We celebrated Dot birthday during this occasion too, such joyous moment.

A jog around Marina Bay : Dec-19

We fetched Xuan to her ASD event at Marina Barrage on one Saturday morning and then took the opportunity to jog around our beautiful city, taking photos along the way and mingling among many tourists.  A nice way to start a weekend.

Trying hairy crabs for the first time : Dec-19

My YMD leader had started a side line to sell hairy crabs which he imported from China.  To show my support, I ordered 4 crabs from him to try and he was also very nice to gave 2 extra for free in return to show his appreciation.

It was our first time to taste these hairy crabs.  After steaming for about 15 minutes, they were ready for consumption.  There was not as much meat compared to the mud crabs but nevertheless the meat tasted sweet and yummy.

My first guitar recital : Dec-19

After taking guitar lessons with Justin for more than 6 months, I was finally ready to performance my first guitar recital. Justin had partnered with a singer teacher, Bevlyn and booked a good venue at Clark Quay.  This recital would team up Justin's students along with hers and performed about 10 songs.  This time, I would be doing three of them.

Personally, I was pretty nervous about fouling up during this performance and letting the singers down, I therefore took much effort to practise these 3 songs for more than a month, also together with Xuan singing them.  That evening, everyone came to support me except Xuan as she was having her Prom.  The performance turned up well, I did not made any serious mistake and the tempo was good too.  It was a very valuable experience indeed and I looked forward to the next recital now.

Xuan Prom night : Dec-19

Xuan NYJC Prom night crashed with my guitar recital performance and thus i was unable to help to take photos for them.  Luckily she had an awesome sister who was more than happy to help not only her but also her friends to become prettier... her sister package include make up, hair do, nails and even photography, most importantly for FREE!

Another milestone for Enen : Nov-19

Enen finally completed another milestone in life, finishing her primary school education!  The entire family went and supported her in receiving her PSLE results.  She is probably the girl we worried most academically but she did put up her best during her final year and achieved satisfactory results.  Hopefully she would be able to progress to a secondary which would develop her better as a person.

My first sports tights : Nov-19

Thanks for my 'tights-craze' ling, I was presented with my first 2XU sports tights!  It was so difficult to put on, however quite comfortable during workout, just looked a bit funny on me or was it a mental barrier to overcome? :P

Qi Birthday : Nov-19

It's Qi 21th birthday this year!  Qi din request for a grand party to celebrate... probably she is aware that she has already overspent during her Canada summer school. :P  Nevertheless, she still have her heart-warming moments during her big day.  Apart from our usual family celebrations, her BFFs also came over to our place to throw her a surprise celebration, how nice!  Qi is a fully legit adult now, how time flies...

Enen P6 graduation : Nov-19

Coincidentally I was the official photographer for the SSA P6 graduation ceremony and therefore was able to capture some moments on Enen during the event.  Enen participated in a dance performance during this graduation and was also fortunate to be presented the graduation certification by our GD.  Her next journey to Future Division had now started...
