Things done during short holiday break : Aug-12

There were two public holidays in August and I had taken leave in between to enjoy a prolong holiday break.  There was a key thing planned for this break and that was to paint the ceilings of our toilets and also our room.  The task to paint the toilets ceiling was not fun at all, not only I need to spend a good few hour scraping the old paint from the ceiling, I also needed to coat a layer of sealer paint before applying the white ceiling paint on them.  Tough job... after a good two days of painting, finally the job was completed.  We had chosen yellow this time round for our room, our first sunshine colour when we got married, we thought it was a happy and cheerful colour for us.

Another funny thing i had decided to do during this break was to keep my moustache and see how long it could grow.  The fact about not shaving did save a little bit of time, but it was the experience about keeping a moustache which was interesting.  I found having a moustache kind of depressing, maybe it was due to the fact that it would make you look "dirty" and matured. Anyway, it was great fun to kiss the girls in the family with a moustache, En'en particularly enjoyed it and always requested me to kiss her, after which she would start scratching her face.

Xuan Birthday Party : Aug-12

August is the birthday month for our ‘snake’ lady at home.  Typically, Xuan’s birthday will coincident with the school’s continual assessment, and she will need to study through her birthday.  Interestingly, her school brought this year’s CA two weeks earlier, freeing her from past study agony on her birthday.  On top of this, this year was also a school holiday during her birthday as the school prepared for the P6 PSLE.  With all these rare and favorable conditions, I suggested her to invite her friends for lunch together at PizzaHut and at the same time, celebrate her birthday.  It was a great gathering… full of laughter and excitement among the kids.  Xuan must be very happy to have received so many presents too, especially a surprised ang-pow from one of her fellow classmate… Xuan called him “长辈”.

En's 5th Birthday, Part 4 : Aug-12

En'en had a lovely cake especially baked and decorated for her by her Qmama!!  Dor had spent the day before at her mum's to bake this colorful rainbow cake.  Even the two lettering on top of the cake are made by Dor!

This unique cake was not only beautiful on the outside, but most colorful on the inside!!

All of us were pretty excited, it was our first time on a cruise!

Surprisingly , En'en got a birthday celebration on board SuperStar Virgo too!! (^_-)
