A Most Tedious Chore Everyday With En: Mar-11

Every child loves the refreshing and clean feel of a bath & brushing teeth after a loong day. Prepares the child for bedtime, isn't it? Every child, I thought. My children too, even Enen, I know. Nevertheless the end result is not always motivation enough for her to run into the bathroom automatically upon knowing it's bathtime!? 

On good days, En will go, "After I finish my homework, I will go and bath." On bad days, En will scream and cry and simply refuse to go near the bathroom. Even if she has to pass urine, she will deliberately go into the kitchen toilet so as to escape being dragged to bathe against her will immediately after sitting on the toilet bowl. 

This is a typical scene of a moderately bad day. 

Sigh, I always say, "Meow meow meow, Enen is a dirty cat!"

Marina Sands SkyPark : Mar-11

Marina Bay Sands has been opened for many months now. Though it is nearer than Resort World, we have never been to the Marina Bay Sands yet. Therefore for Mama's birthday this year, we decided to visit the Marina Sands SkyPark before having dinner in the casino's restaurant.

Poor En'en After Zhenjie Shifts to Woodlands : Mar-11

Once her nanny, forever her nanny. This seems to be the case for Enen's nanny, Zhenjie. Despite having stopped being Enen's nanny for a year now, Zhenjie's place is still a regular haunt for Enen for the past one year! In fact, they will miss each other so much that even without pre-planning, either Zhenjie will call Enen or Enen will bug me to call Zhenjie, for Enen to go over to Zhenjie's place, like twice a week!

Well, all good things must come to an end, and this convenient arrangement too, as Zhenjie & family decided to shift to Woodlands to rent out her entire flat. Zhenjie still visits Hougang rather regularly & will hang out at her usual haunt at 327. The below clip was taken immediately after I brought Enen home from 327 where I usually purchase my weekly fruit supply. After Enen saw Zhenjie there, En no longer wished to come home with me! In fact, she immediately asked for her bag and wanted to go off with Zhenjie!!? Alas, as the following day is a school day, Zhenjie had to reluctantly reject En's request. Though it was eventually agreed that En would come home to sleep first and meet up with Zhenjie only after her nap, En was bugging me & crying non-stop throughout our car ride from 327 back to home!!

2011 Chinese New Year : Mar-11

What's special about this year's Chinese New Year? I suppose nothing much, except that it is still a 'special' and joyous occasion where each family member bonds and reunites together. To me, it serves a purpose for us to remind ourselves how important a Family is. Well, definitely the gals are growing prettier as well as talkative each year. Nevertheless, I hope this culture of bonding in the family continues as long as possible, and not limited to CNY.

Brief participation in lion dancing : Mar-11

This year Chinese New Year is one of the busiest, full of visits, drinks and food. It always feel enjoyable to meet up with relatives and friends during this festive holidays. Another activity during CNY that never fails to lift up my mood is lion dancing. Although this year i join for a brief few hours, it's good enough to share the joy and atmosphere and bring back some nice memories.
