A visit to Kent Ridge Park : Jul-09
Since we had been to the Hort Park quite a few months ago, we have not returned for a walk. This time round, we decided to explore the Kent Ridge Park which has a connecting bridge to Hort Park.
The park is filled with big trees, providing a great shade and thus, very comfortable when strolling. We finally reached the connecting bridge and started to walk towards Hort Park. Along the bridge, we have a good scenery of Hort Park. But the bridge is so high that it actually chills me a bit at the start, definitely a place worth visiting.

En'en learning gymnastics : Jul-09
Enen's 'coach', her baby sitter, has been training En'en to hang on the bar everytime they are at the playground. En'en has since improved tremendously and will even request me to carry her to practise at our pullup bar at home!

NE Show : Jul-09
My First post................... I went to my NE show yesterday, it was fantastic...... Reached school at 2.30 pm.My whole class was waiting for me!! Collected our funpacks and was ready to set off.
We reached there at about 3 ++. Worst part, spent almost 1 whole hour walking to the floating platform! Human jam ! Needed to go through thermal scanner,blah blah blah. Finally reached, and everyone's back was breaking ready. Had KFC for dinner. The chicken was so spicy..finish drinking 1 bottle of water through dinner.
The show started!! Whatever Cabinet Ministers came out.Then "Lee Kuan Yew"and "Lee Hsian Loong" but no President!! Must be cannot find look alike .But the fake PM and MM also cannot fool us. We were supposed to stand up but hardly any of us did. HAhaha.
We spotted tthis rainbow while eatting dinner.Pretty right?There was the march and then the show.
It was almost the fireworks..but it started raining but at least i got a little of it!!

There is this popular Taiwan series, "爱" showing on TCS8 now and En'en knows how to singing the song from the series in HOKKIEN!

When it comes to the kids' birthday, they always celebrate a couple of times at different places. En'en celebrates her 2nd birthday again at home, this time round together with her baby-sitter as well.

Sensei's guidance on having a Creative Life : Jul-09

I feel most deeply I have done something creative when I have thrown myself wholeheartedly into a task and fought it through unstintingly to its conclusion and thus have won a struggle to enlarge myself. It is a matter of sweat and tears. The creative life demands constant effort to improve one’s thoughts and actions. Perhaps the dynamism involved in the effort is the most important thing.
You will pass through storms, and you may suffer defeat. The essence of the creative life, however is to persevere in the face of defeat and to follow the rainbow within your heart. Indulgence and indolence are not creative. Complaints and evasions are cowardly and corrupt life’s natural tendency towards creation. The person who gives up the fight for creativeness is headed ultimately for the hell that destroys all life.
You must never slacken in your efforts to build new lives for yourselves. Creativeness means pushing open the heavy door to life, to look in your life. This is not an easy struggle. Indeed, it may be the hardest task in the world. For opening the door to your own life is more difficult than opening the doors to the mysteries of the universe.
But the act of opening your door vindicates your existence as a human being and makes life worth living. No one is lonelier or unhappier than the person who does not know the pure joy of creating a life for himself. To be human is not merely to stand erect and manifest reason and intellect; to be human in the full sense of the word is to lead a creative life.

En'en Turned 2 Birthday Celebration : Jul-09
The baby of the family seemed to have grown up at the blink of an eye. While we are still enjoying her daily funny antics, marvelling at her growing speech ability and scratching our heads over her mounting wilfulness, our baby En'en has turned 'Terrible-Two'!
En'en really enjoys blowing the candles on birthday cakes, but.. .. sigh. Look carefully for yourself in the clip.

Qiqi completed her Grade 4 ballet : Jul-09
2008: Passing her grade 3
Another year of hard work had yielded Qiqi another grade in her ballet. Though it may seems simple to Qiqi in passing this examination year after year, it is through all these small efforts which we had put constantly in our lives in helping us to shape them better.
I hope the gals will realize the significance of Human Revolution in their lives one day... and how we could make ourselves better and useful through the small efforts we assert everynow and then.

A day for the community : Jul-09
Starting this year, GSK had committed one day for every employee to contribute back to the community. This applies to all GSK in the world and we called it the "Orange Day". I thought it is quite meaningful and am proud to be part of this campaign.
I had chosen my Orange Day event to contribute back to the earth at a new Nature Reserve at Dairy Farm Road. On top of all the insects and woods, this reserve is full of rambutans and durians trees! We started off our first half clearing the weeds at the trees before we proceed to plant some 50+ trees in one of the forest location. I planted mine together with Wai Chuan.
All in all, a wonderful and special experience.
